Closing AML findings without theatre

Rewriting a policy PDF rarely closes an AML finding. Show operating evidence and an independent re-test so partners can trust the update.

Partners remember open AML findings. Status updates that only announce a new policy lose credibility. Keep the original finding visible, describe the operational change, and attach evidence that the control now runs—samples, tickets, committee minutes, or system exports.

Agree the validation list in writing. Re-testing the entire AML universe delays commercial timelines. Independent re-test of the closed items is usually enough to reopen diligence conversations.

Issue a short validation letter. Long slide decks bury the conclusion banks need to file.

Schedule refresh. A closed finding that reopens six months later costs more trust than leaving it open with a dated plan.
